Seahouse at Engøy
The home of Amica! It was a totally warned out seahouse, from the late 1800, we bought back in 2017 and spent two years of restoration and rebuilding. Now it is our base, not only for Amica, but for all our activities. Beside the charterbuisniss and the farm, we also have a youth program. Dropouts from college have work in practice with us and doing all from deck-hand on Amica to take care of the animals on the farm. No days are alike and both the skipper/farmer and the youth like that!
Engøy, an island in the middle of Stavanger harbour, is the perfect place to end a boattrip or maybe you have a celebration? It is a workshop and a cosy place. Before we have guests we tidy up(a little bit) and the environment is real! Here is a big woodenstove to prevent cold guests and a pizzaoven to prevent hungry guests. The skipper/farmer now also becomes the chef and beveragemanager.
